Minding The Garden, Hampshire
Project summary
Minding the Garden helps people who are experiencing mental health issues and/or learning difficulties to take their first steps towards volunteering in the community. Individuals join a safe, friendly team, delivering a much-valued gardening service to elderly or disabled residents who cannot manage their gardens themselves. Experienced staff and ‘buddy volunteers' ensure that the supported volunteers have a positive, enjoyable experience through gardening and exercise, meeting new people and learning to feel valued within their community.
